We are seeking a detail-oriented and business-savvy Data Modeler with strong analytical skills to join our data team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models, aligning data architecture with business requirements, and translating complex data into actionable insights. You will work with big data environments on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and should be proficient with BigQuery, Data Lineage tools, MDM, and Cloud Composer. Responsibilities: Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models across cloud-based and on-premise data systems Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and engineers to gather data requirements and translate them into data models Create and maintain entity-relationship diagrams (ERDs) and data dictionaries Work with data engineers to ensure model alignment with data pipelines and data lake/warehouse structures Design models optimized for analytics, reporting, and machine learning, especially in BigQuery Analyze source systems and map data elements across multiple domains, including structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data Support Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives by defining common entities and reference data Use data lineage and metadata tools to ensure visibility into data movement, transformation, and usage Apply DataOps principles to support version control, schema governance, and quality checks for modeling artifacts Utilize tools such as Cloud Composer (Airflow) for orchestration and DataProc (Spark) for processing where needed Requirements: 5+ years of experience in data modeling and data analysis Proficiency with data modeling tools (e.g., Erwin, SAP PowerDesigner, Lucidchart, dbt) Strong experience with SQL, BigQuery, and GCP Big Data ecosystem Experience in building models for data warehouses, data lakes, and reporting platforms Familiarity with ETL/ELT pipelines, Cloud Composer, and GCP Cloud Storage Working knowledge of data governance, data security, and lineage Experience working with MDM platforms or defining canonical data entities across domains Strong communication and documentation skills to interface with both technical and business teams Nice to have: GCP Data Engineer or Data Analyst certification Experience with DataOps practices (CI/CD for data models, versioning, testing) Understanding of data cataloging tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Atlan) Knowledge of business intelligence tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI) Familiarity with Python, dbt, and Spark is a plus The Ksquare Group does not and shall not discriminate based on race, color, religion, gender, gender expression, age, national origin, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations.
